MISSION TRIP MARCH 2008

Hello everyone! Mexico City has been a great blessing
on my life. School has been really informative and fun.
Below you will see pictures of our mission trip to
Tulcingo, Puebla. We took about $2000.00 in toys
and the same in food over the Christmas Holiday.
THANK YOU to those of you who donated. You can
see the joy on these few pictures. Well we are going
on another trip during the Easter break back to
Tulcingo and Lomatlan, this time for 6 days with
some visitors from Rhema Tulsa. We will be taking
a lot of food, candy, and services. We have 4 dentists
3 docters, 6 hairstylists and that is from the Mexican
Team. We will also be painting homes. We will also
take shoes and some clothing. shoes are important.
So you know I rarely ask for donations but here it
comes, please check your heart and donate what
you can, you will be a part of 56 of us spending a
week out with those in need. I have pledged to
shave my head when we reach the $800.00 goal.
Those $800.00 is from you, my friends and family.
You have about 2 weeks to decide, it is very easy
to donate on this page through PayPal. I will post
before and after pictures of my head. Thank You
in Christ. Frank Rubio

BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE

Back in one of the books of the Bible God tells his people that even
though they are in exile they will soon be free. He explains that not
only will they be free but also prosperous, and when that time comes
they are not to forget were they came from and were they are now.
Giving thanks to God was important but they were to open their hearts
and prepare a basket from the prosperity that they had been blessed
with. They were to take this basket to the priest to help provide for him,
the orphans and the widows, basically the poor.
Fast forward a few hundred years and the people of God were out of
exile and prosperous…things were good for the Israelites almost
everyone had flat screens, nice cars, and well fed families, the biggest
decisions were Blue ray or HDTV, “This has been a subject of debate
between friends and family these past months, I’m not mocking anyone.”
So one of the prophets reminds them of God’s commands about their
heart and the offering of the basket for the priests, widows and orphans.
He talks about their harden heart and how they forgot where they came
from. Then another prophet asks about the basket, yeah, yeah to your
heart where is the basket? Who is being provided for and who is not?
Who has food and who doesn’t? Some people had a lot and others very
little. God paints a picture of heaven where all needs are meet.
Everything in abundance, a fair economy. How can we help others
bringing Heaven to Earth? Heaven crashes into Earth every time you
give someone an opportunity, you feed them, you clothe them, and you
smile at them when they truly need a smile, kindness, and patience.
That mother who needs to feed her family and we bring her a sack of
rice, beans or wheat, Heaven just crashed into earth in a big way.
I am proud to say that my 4 brothers and their wives have been great
influences in my life and have been a part of that crashing down of
heaven onto earth. Thank you.

In the New Testament Jesus asks this of us so lets have fun doing it.

100% of your donations will go to this trip and providing for the people
of these small towns and villages.
